Telescopic forks

Telescopic forks for Mountable fork lift trucks

Meijer Special Equipment was the first who developed hydraulic lift truck forks as a request from KOOI BV who was the manufacturer of the mountable fork lift trucks the so-called KOOI-AAP. The hydraulic forks were needed to put pallets in front of the piggy-back legs. The first design was a twin cylinder design which was parallel connected and was heaving an enormous power which was needed for this application. Even now all piggy-back manufacturers are using this same concept which is sold under the Power-range.

Telescopic forks for standard fork lift trucks

For all other fork-lift trucks, like combustion trucks, or electrical fork lifts other systems are used. With the patented integrated synchronisation system, the telescopic forks are always moving 100% equal which is necessary for safe working operations when pallets are being stacked in height racking systems, for unloading lorries from one side, or when the hydraulic forks are being used as extension forks. The in serial connected hydraulic forks are being sold under the Equaliser-Range.

Brick and blocks / beverage applications

The small telescopic forks have only one cylinder per fork and have a very narrow fork section for the entry of brick and blocks for example. Because of their special width, these telescopic forks are frequently applied onto double fork spreaders handling four, two or even one pallet. It’s possible to order the telescopic forks with a special cross section to prevent damage to pallets when the hydraulic forks are being used for extension forks. The small hydraulic forks are being sold under the name Slim-range.

Hydraulic extension forks

These telescopic forks allow only a variety of different pallet sizes to be handled safely without damage to pallets and goods and eliminates possible manual handling problems associated with mechanical fork extensions. This range of telescopic forks has only one cylinder per fork and features an integrated flow dividing system. These state of the art fork extensions have a special cross section so that the underside of the outerforks can not catch pallet planks and can not wear off. This special design is being sold under the trade name Slide-range.

Thin telescopic forks

Developed for use with US and non-standard pallets for which a thinner profile is needed for easier entry. The telescopic fork uses a separate oil distribution block and four hydraulic hoses which supplies oil via a parallel connection to the two telescopic forks. This system is subject to an approximate deviation of 3% with regard to 1000 mm stroke. These telescopic forks are known as the Thin-range.
