REACH MSE-FORKS
 REACH is a new European Community Regulation on chemicals and their safe use (EC 1907/2006). It deals with the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemical substances. The new legislation came into force on 1 June 2007.
The aim of REACH is to improve the protection of human health and the environment through the better and earlier identification of the intrinsic properties of chemical substances. At the same time, the innovative capability and competitiveness of the EU chemicals industry should be enhanced. The benefits of the REACH system will com e gradually, as more and more substances are phased into REACH.

- MSE-Forks will be asking our suppliers to notify us immediately of the presence in the goods they supply of any critical materials which will be incorporated in our products.
- MSE-Forks hereby declare that our products contain no substances of very high concern (SVHSs) requiring pre-registration or reporting, either on a planned or an unplanned basis.
- MSE-Forks will continuously monitor the implementation of the REACH legislation, and intend to integrate this into our ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001:2004 systems, for which we are anticipating accreditation during 2009.
