Meijer Special Equipment complies with welding standard EN-729-2
 As one of the first metal working companies in the Netherlands MSE from St. Jacobiparochie, manufacturer of the KOOI-REACHFORKS®, has obtained the EN-729-2 certificate.
MSE is the world’s largest manufacturer of hydraulic telescopic lift truck forks. Telescopic forks are sold via a worldwide network of importers. With the telescopic forks it is possible to load and/or unload lorries from one side.Goods can also be stacked double deep in warehouses which offers more storage space within the same surface area.
The European standard EN-729-2 represents quality demands for welding and for fusion welding of metallic material. For the best possible result of a weld one has to meet certain conditions. For example welding qualifications, method qualifications, technical design and management and storage of welding additives. Every weld that was made until now had to be tested and described by an independent inspection service.
A new weld which is not yet described has to be tested and applied for again. Only when these tests have been done the attachment can be delivered to the client. With this procedure certain preconditions are secured so that the end product will meet all the required standards in all possible probability. The whole process of implementation has taken a year and was supervised by BME ingenieurs b.v. (engineers) from Vianen which advises companies in the field of certification and service systems. This decision for this new standard was actuated by the growing number of demands for higher quality from lift truck producers. So also for everything that is mounted on the fork carrier. With this standard the safety of the KOOI-REACHFORKS® is even more guaranteed. At MSE the standard EN-729-2 is completely integrated in the quality system ISO9001:2000.
