Wear protection outerforks
Extra wear resistance
All our outerforks are produced from a special high quality steel and weld to a special EN standard. Because all kind of steel will wear some day customers can prevent this wear. To prevent wear to the underside of the outer forks it is possible to weld on an extra hardened plate. This solution is much cheaper then to buy a complete new outer fork. The massive cast steel nose in combination with the extra wear strip improves the life span considerable. Specifications:

Integrated wear strip
Most wear takes place on the taper side and Meijer Special Equipment therefore uses a fully cast iron taper. To reduce fork wear even more the integrated wear strip can be used. This option consists of a replaceable mangan strip integrated into the fork taper. The advantage of this option with regard to the standard wear strip is that this option does not affect the thickness of the outer forks.
